The start of a beautiful year

Life is back in session, and I get to be a Mom again. I don't know of anything that gets better than that? To top if off, I finished radiation treatments and won't be spending 12-15 hours a week at the hospital. YEAH! Since finishing radiation a couple of weeks ago, I have been getting followed by my little four year old who wants to know where I am at all times. The separation anxiety is starting to kick in a little. I have assured her that I won't be leaving her anytime soon. What a relief just to be home. I love it. Now, we are going to play a little waiting game to see if the radiation worked or not. In April and July, I will have MRI's done. We will compare the two scans and hope to not see any new growth of tumors. I am literally on my hands and knees daily begging for a miracle. I truly am hoping for some great news! It has been a LONG road that's for sure.

One more thing that doesn't have to do with radiation but I wanted to mention anyway was about the weather. Tennessee has been COLD lately. We started out the beginning of the month with SNOW. We got about 1/4 of an inch and school was closed for 3 days. Totally ridiculous that they closed school. I understand that the roads could be icy, and that the buses can't get up and down all of the hills, but people, I am talking the roads were 100% clear. As a kid, I would have loved school to close. I think that they might have closed school 1 day that I can remember. Oh well, what can we do about it? The kids sure have missed snow, and talk about it every winter. They were so excited to gear up and get outside to play. The most snow was in our driveway, and Kelsie even managed to do a snow angel. Alyssa managed to make a snowman, you might have to hold it in your hand but what the heck? It's snow, and that's all that matters. It was very nice to have water this year,and to not experience frozen pipes. Thanks to my husband for insulating the pipes this year.

2010 is going to be a good year, I can feel it. We are already off to a great start I can feel it. Good things come to those who wait, and I feel that we have waited long enough.
